You have just received your credentials for the PSB extranet and the connection worked on the first try. Three weeks later, it is impossible to regain access from your host company’s workstation. This scenario affects many interns and apprentices at Paris School of Business because most guides stop at the first connection without addressing what happens next.
Maintaining access to the PSB extranet when changing devices or companies
As an apprentice, you regularly switch from a personal computer to a workstation in a company, sometimes to a tablet at another site. Each change of device can create a blockage if your account is not prepared.
The first reflex is to dissociate your access from a single device. In practical terms, this means never saving your session solely through a specific browser without knowing your credentials otherwise. Write down your username (often your personal email address) in a safe place, not just in the password manager of the company’s browser.
When you change host companies during your course, your PSB extranet account remains the same. Before leaving your position, check that you can log in from another device. If you have enabled MFA (multi-factor authentication), make sure the authentication app is installed on your personal phone, not on a work device you will be returning.
Before mastering these reflexes, it is useful to know how to use the PSB extranet for interns from the first days to avoid unpleasant surprises.

PSB extranet password: changing it without losing access
The homepage of the extranet offers two paths to change your password: the “forgot password” link on the login page, or the Profile tab then “Change my password” once logged in. These two options serve different purposes.
When to use “forgot password”
You can no longer log in. You receive a reset link at your email address. Make sure this address is one you still check. Apprentices who change their email during the year sometimes find themselves blocked because the reset link arrives at a mailbox they no longer read.
When to go through the Profile tab
You are already logged in and want to secure your account. This is the method recommended by PSB from the first connection. Change your password before leaving your first session, not three weeks later when you have forgotten it.
A good password for the extranet follows a simple logic: at least a dozen characters, uppercase letters, numbers, and a special character. Avoid reusing the one from your professional email, especially if you are interning at a company that imposes its own IT security rules.
Activating MFA on the PSB extranet: why apprentices have more to gain than others
The PSB extranet emphasizes the activation of MFA, multi-factor authentication. For a full-time student on campus, it is an additional security measure. For an apprentice, MFA protects an account accessed from multiple different networks.
You log in from your company’s wifi, from home, from campus. Each of these networks presents a different level of security. MFA adds a verification (temporary code via an app on your phone) that prevents any connection even if someone retrieves your password.
- Install the authentication app on your personal phone, not on a device lent by the company that you will have to return at the end of your contract.
- Keep the recovery codes in an encrypted file or printed, separate from your phone, in case you lose the device.
- If you change your phone number, disable MFA before the portability, then reactivate it with the new number. Otherwise, you will be blocked.

Leveraging the PSB extranet beyond simple login
Many interns log into the extranet only to check a schedule or retrieve an administrative document. The tool goes further.
PSB structures its digital resources around a logic of skill enhancement. From the extranet, you access tools like the Career Center, the Studapart housing platform, or application assistance services. These resources remain accessible throughout the duration of your contract, including periods in the company.
You may have noticed that some documents are only available for a limited time? Internship agreements, certificates, evaluations: download them as soon as they are published. During your apprenticeship, you are not on campus every day. Waiting until the last moment to retrieve a document risks having to search for it on a weekend when the platform is under maintenance.
- Download your administrative documents as soon as notified, then store them in a personal folder accessible offline.
- Regularly check the tab dedicated to your training path to ensure that your evaluations and absences are correctly recorded.
- Use the tools from the Career Center to prepare your applications during periods in the company, when your field experience is still fresh.
What to do if a service is unresponsive
A link that does not work from your company’s network may simply be blocked by a professional firewall. Test from your personal connection before reporting a technical issue. The company’s firewall is the primary cause of false blockage on the extranet for apprentices.
The PSB extranet is not a tool that you configure once and forget. An updated password, a well-configured MFA, and documents downloaded as needed make the difference between smooth access and administrative hassle at the end of the semester.
